Incorporated in 1975, the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice has been awarding the highest professional designation in funeral service, Certified Funeral Service Practitioner™ (CFSP), for nearly 50 years. 

With 2,300 members worldwide, 1,700 of whom have achieved the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, a robust Academy membership continues this legacy of excellence.

APFSP is proud to offer the CFSP™ designation program for funeral service practitioners which allows funeral professionals to accomplish educational, professional, and community oriented goals in an organized fashion; recognizing funeral directors who raise and improve the overall standards of the funeral service profession.
