The Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) Designation
Planning and performing a funeral service requires diverse professional talents. Your ideal funeral director will serve you with compassion, creativity and integrity.
The Academy of Funeral Service Practice instituted the voluntary Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) program to distinguish those who offer more than what is expected of them.
When you see the CFSP credential next to a name, you know right away that you are working with a highly self-motivated person with a driven desire to learn, grow and achieve.
To earn the distinction, a funeral professional must meet certification requirements related to funeral service and professional development in four well-rounded categories:
- Academic: higher education–level instruction, completion of accredited home- and online-study programs
- Professional: conference and convention attendance, participation in workshops and seminars, service in trade organizations
- Public Education and Service: service in community or religious organizations, presentations to community groups, leading of funeral-home tours
- Career Review: survey of past activities that qualify for credit toward certification
When you and your family find yourselves in your hour of need, you will notice – and come to rely on – the personal and professional excellence that shines through CFSP.
Work with those with a passion to learn, grow and achieve – for you. |
